Our Lady’s pre-school was established in January 1999 in response to a shortage at that time of pre-school education. It is housed in a new unit at the rear of the Infant school site but is run as a voluntary charitable organization. There is separate access with an outside play area. It is intended for children from the age of 2 years 9 months and has room for 18 in the morning and 18 in the afternoon. Parents can decide how many sessions to send their children to.
The pre-school is run by a committee of parents both past and present who give their time up voluntarily. There is dedicated professional qualified staff who follow a Foundation Stage curriculum and provide a very sound educational base. They have excellent facilities and are inspected on the usual Ofsted Inspection basis. As a result of all their hard work and dedication, the pre-school is now accredited. The majority of the children carry on into the Infant school and Junior schools. They are a very important part of our Catholic family and a vital link in our Catholic education structure.
